Hey there, I'm Dallas!
Six years ago after I had just turned eighteen, I had all of the wide-eyed dreams and zest for life - I had lots of plans, but God had other plans. In January of 2019, I was diagnosed with my first chronic illness.
Eventually I became nearly bed bound for several months. I had to quit my job, quit college (before I even started), and I was no longer able to participate in any of the extra curricular activates I once enjoyed. I went from a very busy person, to a girl who's only plan was to survive.
In the midst of battling grief of losing not only my healthy body, but most of the things I loved, I turned to writing. And in the process, God taught me how to let Him become my all in all. I learned that Jesus really is everything. And that changed everything.
I am still sick. But I am still here. Fighting and finding purpose in the everyday.
On April 23, 2022 I married the love of my life after years of struggling to hold onto the hope that he even existed. Jesse Bryce is top on my list of most favorite people and I'll never get tired of writing or talking about him. In November of 2023 I became a Mama to the most beautiful little girl, Grace Mae, which is something the doctors said would never happen. Then, just two and a half years later, we welcomed another precious girl, Eden Starr, into our home. My heart and hands have never been fuller than while being a girl mom.
My parents, big brother, and sister-in-law are some of my strongest supports and I just love getting to be in their company. My two nephews Lincoln & Maverick, and my precious niece Elsie Jo, are some of my favorite kiddos and I adore being called their Aunt DeeDee.
I love all things comfy, watching my current obsession show Heartland, belly laughs, cheesy rom-coms, being with my family, and talking about Jesus. Anyways, enough about me. I hope that my words here can inspire you in some way, big or small, to live fearless right where Jesus has you.
